First and foremost, we are here to give Glory to GOD!
HaitisBabies.org is a not for profit organization created for the purposes of
rescuing abandoned babies in Haiti. As of October 12, 2005, we are currently
incorporated as "HaitisBabies.org, Inc." and on January 24, 2006 our tax exempt
status under the I.R.S. Code 501(c)(3) was approved which will enable people to
make tax deductible donations. Praise the LORD!!!
My husband Chris and I are really nobody special. We do not have degrees,
are not Doctors or nurses, and are not credentialed ministers. We are just two
people who see a need and are sold out to our vision. We, along with the help
of many people with hearts of compassion that have seen this vision, plan to
change how unwanted babies are taken care of. Whether we make them
available for adoption, have them nursed back to health until they can take
formula or cereal and placed in a home, or provide a decent burial, we plan to
make a difference.
Our officers/directors are Beverly and Chris Plourde, and, James and Rebecca
Baird. Beverly is the President and Treasurer, Patrick (James) and Becky are
Vice Presidents, and Chris is the Secretary. Our first order of business was to
dedicate this organization to GOD. We are thankful to the Greenstein's.
HaitisBabies.org, Inc. was birthed in a cell group at their home. It has been the
prayers of this group that has moved the organization forward. We want to
thank (in no particular order) Ann, Judy, Sally, Sheila, Larry and MJ. We love
you all!
Let it be said of us:
Isa 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted
soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
Isa 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in
drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and
like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou
shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called,
The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
So be it.
What we need
Please, spread the word to your friends and family. Send a link of this site to
everyone on your email list and ask them to pray for us and to send this site to
everyone on their email list. We need the word out to as many people as
possible and, through the Internet, this can be done quickly.
Thanking you in advance,
Bev and Chris
SAY HI TO BEVERLY
Bev put it better than I could have in this letter.
A letter to our Pastors in Vero Beach from Bev in Haiti.
God has called us to be missionaries, to be prisoners of love. We don't have a
choice, this is our journey to our destiny and it is joy unspeakable and full of
glory. The storms, floods, the drought, the unbearable heat, the dysentery,
malaria, garbage and dead rats, the whole thing is joyous. Even when one of
these precious ones dies in my arms there is an incredible joy in my spirit
because these babies die being loved. He went straight from my arms to the
arms of Jesus. That kind of love keeps on growing and growing. To us, that is
victory! Our lives are not just an occasional worship service, it is the call on our
entire nature and it has been transformed into the love of Christ. We are the
physical extension of God's own heart as we rescue these unwanted precious
babies from satan's incredible cruelty. I understand what abuse is and I
understand what it's like to be filled with inexpressible grief as a broken child
feeling lost and abandoned in the world all alone. We pray daily these babies will
never remember the pain of abandonment and they will grow up in the loving
arms of parents who will teach them more of His love. We are ambassadors and
lovers of the King, offering the best we have for nothing in return. What better
work is there? As a general rule Christians say "yes, Lord I will follow you and I
will go where you send me, I will do what you ask me to do and I ask you to let
your words flow through me." That is most admirable, but what if God told you to
go to Haiti and live in the heat and garbage to rescue a baby from a voodoo
witch doctor who, traditionally, sacrifice these children and, you must sell all you
have and leave your family and go immediately. Would you go? Most likely not. I
have a hard time myself wondering what I was thinking when I said "Yes". It is
because we sincerely, deeply love the Father and we want to be the physical
extension of His heart for the least of these. Yes, "the least of these", the
fatherless, the orphaned, abandoned children nobody wants. We want to show
them the Father's love and lead them to the desire to love others the same way.
It is a great privilege to be motivated by the heart of Christ and to be joyous
about it. We are indeed honored.
Thank you most humbly for your belief in our efforts, your prayers and your
support to protect the hearts and lives of these little ones.
May the joy of the Lord bless you far beyond your expectations.
Up from the Ashes,
Bev in Haiti
